Four former wrestlers at Ohio State are suing the school for Title IX and civil rights violations for failing to stop alleged sexual abuse by former team doctor Richard Strauss in the late 1980's and mid-1990's.
The wrestlers in the class-action suit are only identified as 'John Does'. The suit claims the university failed to take appropriate action against Dr. Strauss despite being repeatedly informed of his sexual assault, abuse, battery, molestation and/or harassment.
The legal complaint calls Strauss a 'prolific sexual predator'. Strauss died in 2005. The class-action suit seeks unspecified monetary damages.
