(Montana) - A five month old baby is recovering in Missoula, Montana after being found early Sunday buried beneath a pile of sticks in the woods of the Lolo National Forest.
Sheriff's deputies were called to the area Saturday night, responding to calls of a man threatening people. Depuites arrested 32-year old Francis Crowley who said a baby was buried somewhere in the area.
Investigators searched for the infant who was found in the debris crying about 2:30 Sunday morning. The baby had some scrapes but was otherwise ok after enduring 46-degree temperatures for several hours.
Crowley is jailed on $50,000 bond and is charged with criminal endangerment. more charges are possible. Crowley's relationship with the baby is unclear. The infant is in overall good health.
