WWE Chairman Selling Major Stock To Fund Football League

The XFL professional football league is soon to re-boot under the leadership, once again, of WWE Chairman Vince McMahon.

The entertainment mogul has already sold about $100 million in WWE stock to help re-launch the league which lasted just one season in the early 2000's.

McMahon's initial sale of stock is allowing him to get the league off the ground.  He plans to dish out upwards of 500 million dollars to operate the league in its' first three years.

The XFL is expected to kick-off in February of 2020 and will feature eight teams, mostly located in cities which do not have an NFL team.

Atlanta and Phoenix will be the only exceptions.  Each team will have a forty man roster with players averaging about $75,000 a year in salary with bigger named players making more.
