Local School District To Allow Arming Of Some Employees

(Tuscarawas Valley) - Some employees at Tuscarawas Valley Local Schools will soon be able to carry guns on campus.  The district has voted in favor of the proposition this week.

The district's superintendent, Mark Murphy, says that no one was excited about allowing guns, but that it is a significant security measure.

The district is not releasing specifics of the program just yet but it is believed employees who will be armed will have to meet strict requirements along with ongoing training and certifications.
