Former San Francisco 49'er receiver Dwight Clark passed away Monday. Clark died after being diagnosed with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or ALS (Lou Gehrig's disease) in March of 2017.
Clark's iconic touchdown catch from Joe Montana against the Dallas Cowboys in the 1981 NFC Championship sent the Niners to the Superbowl which they eventually won.
Clark was an All-Pro and two time Superbowl champion with San Francisco. Clark spent his entire nine year career withe San Francisco.
He would later work in the 49'er front office before ultimately becoming Director of Football Operations with the Cleveland Browns from 1999-to-2002. Dwight Clark was 61.
