Five Years Ago, They Regained Their Freedom

posted by Carmen Angelo -

(Cleveland) - It has been five years since three women escaped from a house of horrors on Cleveland's Seymour Avenue where they had been held captive for a decade.

Gina DeJesus, Amanda Berry and Michelle Knight were held against their will inside the home of Ariel Castro.

The 37 year old Knight has gone on to write two books about her ordeal.  She was also married in 2016.

Thirty-two year old Amanda Berry now spotlights missing people on local television news segments while 28 year old Gina DeJesus works with Northeast Ohio AMBER Alert.

Castro was sentenced to life in prison plus 1,000 years.  He hanged himself in prison.
