Judge Gilligan said afterward he would have taken away Chidsey's license for life, but state sentencing procedures said five years was the maximum he could suspend her license.
Parma Heights police say Chidsey's car plowed across the dance floor at the concert, held near Greenbrier Commons in that city. At the time, she was backing out of a parking spot.
So there you have it. You can disagree all you want but with a good car and good reaction time, this tragedy would have been mostly prevented. Chidsey was guilty of vehicular homicide by being grossly negligent. She killed two and injured nine because she never should've been driving, or panicked, which caused the loss of control. Negligent.
