TORONTO--- The Guardians offense exploded in a 5-2 win Friday night in Toronto, Canada, one of 3 Cleveland home runs included one from Canada's own Bo Naylor in the 3rd inning. Cleveland also got a stellar start from eccentric young rookie Tanner Biebee, who went 6 innings, giving up 6 hits and 2 runs while striking out 5 Toronto batters.

Cleveland pitching has been near lights out against the Blue Jays this season, allowing only 9 runs in 5 matchups. The Blue Jays struck first in the 2nd inning, a George Springer opposite field home run, which was answered the next inning with Bo Naylor hitting a bomb to right filed in his home country. The Guardians nearly got 2 runs that inning, on a would be perfectly executed hit and run by Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez, Kwan was originally ruled safe at home with a feet first slide, but after a Toronto challenge, it was overturned. This would be Jose's only hit of the night, as he continues to struggle in the month of August. Coming into Friday night's game, Ramirez was sporting a .191 batting average for the month so far. In the 4th inning, the Guardians would hit their 2nd home run of the night, a 2 run bomb coming from Ramon Laureano, who would drive in his 3rd run of the night later on in the 6th with a double. The Blue Jays nearly got a run in that 4th inning as well, on a Matt Chapman double to Steven Kwan, Kwan would put the throw to Gabriel Arias on a rope, who relayed to Bo Naylor who tagged out Vladimir Guerrero Jr at home. Guerrero Jr would later drive in the last Toronto run of the night with a solo shot in the 6th inning. Andres Gimenez would put the nail in the coffin, joining the home run fest with a line drive homer in the 8th inning.

The Guardians will play the Blue Jays once again in Toronto Saturday afternoon at 3:07, Logan T Allen is scheduled to start.
