CLEVELAND, OH--- Friday night was all Milwaukee, as they dominated the Guardians 7-1 behind a stellar start from Wade Miley and a big offensive night for Willy Adames, who hit 2 home runs and drove in 5 runs on 4 hits.
It wasn't all Milwaukee for the start of the game, as at first it was looking like a pitcher's duel between starters Shane Bieber and Wade Miley. Bieber started off strong, striking out 5 batters through the first 3 innings of his start, and only giving up 1 run that came off the bat of Willy Adames. In the 6th things started getting out of hand after he gave up 3 runs via a Rowdy Tellez RBI double and a 2 run home run from Willy Adames, his first of 2. Bieber was pulled after those 3 runs, he finished with 5 innings pitched, giving up 5 hits and 4 runs while striking out 8 Milwaukee batters. Wade Miley on the other hand was dominate throughout, pitching 6 shutout innings only giving up 3 hits.
After Bieber was pulled, the Brewers didn't stop piling on the runs, getting 2 more with RBI singles from Joey Wiemer and Christian Yelich. The Guardians would get their one and only run in the next inning from a Jose Ramirez solo home run. Willy Adames would put the dagger in the hearts of the Guardians in the 9th with his 2nd home run of the game in the 9th inning. The Guardians and Brewers will continue the series tomorrow at 4:10 you can hear it live on your Guardians flagship WTAM 1100 AM, who has been serving Northeast Ohio for 100 years.
