CLEVELAND, OH--- WOW, what a game if you watched, listened, or were in attendance as the Guardians and Astros battled it out for 14 innings Friday night with the hero Will Brennan finally ending in with a walk off double. Tyler Freeman was the winning run after tying the game with a double of his own to tie it.

To start the game, the Astros were extremely aggressive at the plate, swinging at the first pitch they saw for a majority of the early innings, Jose Abreu would get the Astros up early with a 3 run home run in the first inning. Whether they seen something in a scouting report of starter Logan T Allen, or something they picked up on in the game, the Astros got 9 hits and 5 runs off Allen through 6 innings. The Guardians would have a big 5th inning with 3 straight doubles from Steven Kwan, Myles Straw and Amed Rosario. The 7th inning would see the first of many ties with Jose Ramirez, who has had quite the eventful 2 nights, tying the game with his 10th home run of the season, his 4th homer in the past 2 games and 5th extra base hit in the past 2 games. He was then walked for the 1st of 3 times in the game, being cleared off the bases with a Josh Naylor double that was about 5 feet away from being a home run to the bleachers in the bottom of the 9th. Madness then ensued.

In the 10th inning the Astros came very close to ending the game, but a great defensive play from Cleveland catcher David Fry throwing out Yainer Diaz on the run saved the go ahead run from scoring. Chance after chance after chance for both teams to win the game would fall short from well placed SAC bunts, sharp line drive singles, and some wacky plays, like a potential double play botched by Jeremy Pena in the 12th inning, it was Will Brennan who would hit a ground ball to Pena, he would attempt to turn 2 himself and overthrow first baseman Jose Abreu. With heads up base running from Josh Naylor, he didn't stop running and would round 3rd and score. The 13th inning would see a double from Mauricio Duban in the top half and a single from Steven Kwan in the bottom half to tie it once again. The 14th inning heroics then came from Tyler Freeman tying the game with a double that brought home Josh Naylor, Freeman was then brought in to win the game with a "Chill" Will Brennan hitting a double over Houston left fielder Dubon.

The Guardians and Astros continue their series Saturday night at 6:10, Triston McKenzie will make his 2nd appearance of the season.
