CLEVELAND, OH--- Under somewhat hazy skies in downtown Cleveland the Guardians behind a dominate bullpen got a 5-2 win over the visiting Boston Red Sox Wednesday night. Tanner Biebee would be making his first career start over the Red Sox, he would go 5 innings giving up only 4 hits and 2 runs, one of those being from an error by Josh Naylor in the 4th inning.

The Red Sox would get one on Biebee right from the get go, with Rafael Devers hitting an RBI single driving home Masataka Yoshida. The 2nd run of the outing came from Josh Naylor dropping the ball after fielding it off the ground in the 4th, allowing Enrique Hernandez to score. Naylor would make up for that error in the bottom half of the 4th, absolutely smoking the ball to right field allowing Amed Rosario to score. The Guardians would answer Devers' run in the first with a Josh Bell sharp grounder down the right field line in the 2nd inning. Bell would be responsible for another run in the 4th inning, reaching on a fielders choice with a fielding error from Rafael Devers allowing Jose Ramirez to score, who was on base due to another throwing error, the entire Boston infield aside from Enrique Hernandez had an error in the 4th inning. The offense continued to explode in the 5th inning with 2 doubles from Amed Rosario and Jose Ramirez which resulted in 2 runs.

The bullpen after that 5th inning would start their dominance seeing Eli Morgan having a dominate inning with 3 Ks, Sam Hentges having a shutout inning, Trevor Stephan having a 1 hit inning, and Emmanuel Clase closing out the game.
