CLEVELAND, OH--- The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Twins 4-3 with the help of a big 4th inning against stellar Minnesota starter Sonny Gray, who come into Saturday night's game sporting a 0.77 ERA on the season. Gray would finish the game pitching 5 innings, giving up 4 hits and 3 runs, all 3 runs came in the 4th. He was facing Cleveland starter Logan Allen, who would go a little over 5 innings, giving up 7 hits and 2 runs, which came from a Max Kepler home run in the 6th inning.

The 4th inning was highly eventful, we would see the Guardians score 3 runs, but not before we would see Twins manager Rocco Baldelli ejected for arguing a call on where Minnesota 3rd baseman Jose Miranda, who was playing closer to the shortstop position, fielded a groundball on his knees from Josh Naylor, he fell to his side and dropped the ball in the process, Jose Ramirez with a heads up play, seen that no one was covering 3rd, he darted to 3rd base while Twins shortstop Carlos Correa would field the ball as Miranda was chasing Ramirez to 3rd, Correa tossed the ball to Miranda, Ramirez eluded the tag, which Baldelli did not agree with, and slid head first into 3rd base, crediting Josh Naylor with an RBI single, Amed Rosario scoring the run. Jose Ramirez was then brought in by a Josh Bell singe scoring the 2nd of 3 runs in the inning. The 3rd run would be a bases loaded walk drawn by Cleveland center fielder Myles Straw.

The Twins made things interesting in the 6th inning, with the Guardian killer Max Kepler hitting a 2 run shot to right center field making the score 3-2. The game would then be tied by Carlos Correa hitting a solo home run which would then be matched by Steven Kwan's first home run of the year in the bottom half of the inning. A notable return off the loaded Guardians pitching IL was Sam Hentges making his season debut in the 8th inning getting 2 strikeouts, we are still awaiting the return of starters Aaron Civale and Triston McKenzie.

The Guardians will face another unbeaten Twins starter in 5-0 Joe Ryan tomorrow at 1:40, Cal Quantrill will be on the hill for the Guardians.
