CLEVELAND, OH-- Game four of a six game series with Kansas City had Triston McKenzie taking the mound to face off against Zack Greinke for Kansas City. The Guardians did not lead at all during the game tonight.
The first run came off the bat of Drew Waters for Kansas City in the top of the second with a ground ball single to first. Edward Olivares came home to give KC the lead 1-0.
Steven Kwan tied the game in the bottom of the third with a one run ground ball to second for the force out but ran in Gabriel Arias to bring the score to one all.
On a sac fly to right, Michael Massey drove in Bobby Whitt Jr. and took back the lead for KC, 2-1 in the top of the sixth.
Gabriel Arias answered in the bottom of the sixth after a fielding error helped to score Oscar Gonzalez and brought the score to 2-2.
The game stayed two all into the tenth inning until Drew Waters homered in the top of the tenth for a three run home run and gave Kansas City the lead and win, 5-2.
Two more games to go against Kansas City and two more games in the regular season. The Guards will be back on the field tomorrow wit ha 6:10 first pitch at Progressive Field.
