Guards Fall Short to the Rays in 11 Innings, 6-5

CLEVELAND, OH-- On a rainy Tuesday evening, the Cleveland Guardians and Tampa Bay Rays went into extra innings as well about a 25 minute long rain delay to start the series. In the third inning Jose started the scoring with an RBI triple! Tampa Bay responded in the fourth with four runs to take the 4-1 lead.

Cleveland came within one run in the bottom of the fourth but continued to trail 4-3. Myles Straw tied the game at 4 with an RBI single in the bottom of the eighth. Harold Ramirez blasted an RBI double to left field in the eleventh to take back the lead for the Rays 6-4. Jose Ramirez singled in the bottom of the eleventh but could not pull ahead and ended the game in the eleventh, 6-5.

The Guardians are back on the field tomorrow to continue the Tampa Bay series from Cleveland with a start time at 6:10.
