ARLINGTON, TX--- The Cleveland Guardians defeated the Texas Rangers Saturday night, shrinking the magic number to 2. Cal Quantrill was on the mound for Cleveland and was stellar going 6 innings, only giving up 5 hits and striking out 4. The Guardians had 6 hits tonight, and not one of them were a single.

The Rangers started off the scoring in the 3rd, via a Marcus Semien solo home run. We would see 4 more solo home runs through out the game, 2 from Guardians rookie Oscar Gonzalez, one in the 5th inning and one in the 9th. In the bottom half of the 9th Sam Huff would his own solo home run. Between those, Andres Gimenez hit his 17th home run of the year in the 7th inning. In the 8th Amed Rosario hit a ground rule double that would allow Myles Straw to score.

The Guardians will have Aaron Civale on the mound tomorrow still in Arlington, with a win the Guardians can clinch the AL Central title, a feat no team in history with 15 rookies making their debut in a season have done.
