KANSAS CITY, MO--- The Cleveland Guardians and Kansas City Royals took it to 10 innings Monday night with the Guardians winning 6-5. On a play with Emmanuel Clase and Josh Naylor confused as to who should cover the bag overturned, the Guardians won in confusing fashion to say the least... if you're a Royals fan.

The Guardians would take a 2-0 lead in the top of the 2nd inning on a SAC bunt from Austin Hedges and an RBI single from Myles Straw. The Royals would strike back in the 5th with a Drew Waters 2 run home run, his first of the year. The Guardians would have another big inning in the 6th with a Josh Naylor solo home run and a Tyler Freeman SAC fly that would brig home Andres Gimenez. The Royals would tie the game in the 6th and 8th innings with Michael A Taylor hitting a SAC fly in the 6th and in the 8th Salvador Perez would hit an RBI double after Guardians pitcher Nick Sandlin walked the lead off batter. The game would then head into extra innings knotted at 4, the Guardians with this win are 10-4 in extra innings games. Oscar Gonzalez would be the hero for the Guardians hitting a 2 run double in the 10th inning.

The Guardians are in the same place, same time tomorrow with Shane Bieber on the mound.
