Guardians Shut Out By Mariners 4-0

CLEVELAND, OH--- The Guardians were shut out by the Mariners Saturday night 4-0. The Guardians have now been shut out in 4 of their last 6 games. With the AL playoff race being as tight as it is, this is not the results you want as a ballclub.

The Mariners started off early with Ty France hitting a DEEP solo bomb into the Home Run Porch in left field. Coming into this game, the Mariners were on a 6 game streak of having multi HR games. The next run was walked in by Guardians starter Xzavion Curry. Curry walked Mitch Haniger. The same instance would happen in the 5th inning with JP Crawford being walked, allowing former Cleveland Indian Carlos Santana to score. Cal Raleigh in that same inning hit his 50th RBI, brining in Jesse Winker to score.

The Guardians continue to host the Mariners tomorrow afternoon, first pitch is scheduled for 2:40, working around the air show. Cal Quantrill will be on the mound, who is 11-0 at Progressive Field.
