CLEVELAND, OH -- Cedric Mullins wasted no time getting his team on the board on Thursday night, jumping on the first pitch of the ball game and sending it over the right field wall. The Orioles weren't done going yard on the Guardians' ace, with the third batter in the lineup Anthony Santander sending a homer to right center field. Baltimore starter tossed 7 innings of two-hit shutout baseball, as the O's cruised to a 3-0 lead.
The offensive woes continue for the Guardians, who are clinging to a first place lead in a tight divisional race. Cleveland's lineup was only able to muster two hits the entire game, with both hits coming off of weakly hit balls.
Cleveland will look to get back on track when they host the Mariners for a weekend series. The first pitch on Friday evening is set for 7:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
