BOSTON, MA--- The Cleveland Guardians had quite the match-up with the Red Sox at Fenway winning the game 7-6. The 2 teams went back and forth on multiple different occasions, but Josh Naylor's 9th inning home run would seal the game.
Nolan Jones was a big factor tonight, going 3-4, scoring 3 times, and accumulating an RBI. He would be responsible for the first run of the game in the 2nd inning reaching first base on a grounder to Franchy Codero, driving in Franmil Reyes. Jones would then be brought home by Steven Kwan's 15th double of the year. Bobby Dalbec was the X Factor for Boston, hitting two 2-run home runs in both the 2nd and 6th innings, total for the night Dalbec went 2-3 with 5 RBI. Along with Naylor's 9th inning home run, Myles Straw came up with a clutch double in the 8th inning that would not only allow Jones to score 1 of his 3 runs on the night but also tie the game.
The Guardians are still in Boston tomorrow, same time with Triston McKenzie on the mound.
