CHICAGO, IL -- The Cleveland Guardians watched what was once a comfortable lead quickly disappear in the 7th inning. The White Sox brought home three runs to tie the game heading into the late innings. Cleveland rookie Nolan Jones led off the away half of the 9th with a hustle double down the left field line. In stepped Josh Naylor following the Jones double, and he roped a line-drive RBI single to center field for the go-ahead run. Steven Kwan would later bring home Alex Call on an RBI single to center field. Emmanuel Clase shut the door on the Sox to secure a 7-4 win and lock up his 20th save of the season.

Guardians' starter Triston McKenzie gave his club a solid outing. The young right hander tossed 5 2/3 innings of 4-hit baseball, giving up one lone run. Despite giving up four hits in 1 1/3 innings pitched, Trevor Stephan showed his ability to control the damage while giving up zero earned runs.

The Guardians and White Sox will play Game 2 of the doubleheader at 7:10 pm at Guaranteed Rate Ballpark in Chicago, Illinois. Check out highlights from Game 1 of the doubleheader below!
