Chicago Shut Out the Guards in Nightcap, 7-0

CLEVELAND, OH-- In the nightcap of this day-night doubleheader, the Guardians were shut out with a final score of 7-0.

Dylan Cease earned the win for the White Sox, while Konnor Pilkington had the loss for the Guardians.

In the first inning, Jose Abreu blasted a two-run home run to center field and gave the White Sox the 2-0 lead.

Josh Harrison with the solo homer to left field and take the lead to 3-0 in the top of the second.

The Guardians third baseman Ernie Clement gave up a run with a fielding error that scored Andrew Vaughn and brought the score to 4-0 in the third.

The rest of the night was fairly quiet until an umpire review in the ninth confirmed a three run homer off the bat of Luis Robert. The final score 7-0.

The Guardians are back on the field tomorrow to face the White Sox.
