CLEVELAND, OH -- The Minnesota Twins took what appeared to be a commanding lead in the top half of the 10th inning, driving in three runs to go up by the score of 6-3. Twins skipper Rocco Baldelli turned to Emilio Pagan, who had given up 6 runs in his last three outings against Cleveland, to shut things down in the home half of the 10th. With two outs and the tying runner on third, in stepped Josh Naylor. The Guard's first baseman worked a 2-2 count, before sending an outer fastball to the opposite field, sending it over the left-field wall for a walk-off winner in front of the hometown fans. The Twins' bullpen once again imploded as the Guardians danced to a 7-6 victory.
Josh Naylor's two-run bomb marked his first career walk-off winner and he celebrated in true fashion, going on to headbutt his manager Terry Francona, who was donning a helmet. With Wednesday night's victory, the Guardians tie up the 5-game series and will be looking to take the series on Thursday afternoon.
Cleveland will send out Shane Bieber to square off against Minnesota hurler Chris Archer. The first pitch on Thursday afternoon is set for 1:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
