Guardians Drop First Game Agaisnt the Reds in Extra Innings, 5-4

CLEVELAND, OH-- The 9-26 Cincinnati Reds are in town to start a two-game series. Zach Plesac had the start for Cleveland. The Reds struck first tonight off the bat of Tyler Naquin with a solo homer to right field in the top of the third inning.

The Guards were able to tie the game in the bottom of the third with a sac fly out thanks to Myles Straw bringing in Oscar Mercado.

Tyler Stephenson brought the Reds back on top with a line drive to center field in the top of the sixth. Cincinnati up 2-1.

In the bottom of the ninth inning, Owen Miller brought the game to a 4-4 tie with a fly ball to bring in Jose Ramirez. This brought the game to extra innings.

In the top of the tenth, Mike Moustakas walked to score Matt Reynolds and win the game for the Reds.

The Guardians will face off against the Reds tomorrow at Progressive Field with the first pitch at 6:10!
