MINNEAPOLIS, MN--- The Guardians went the mile with the division rival Minnesota Twins taking the game 3-2 in 10 innings. The game was at a 1-1 stalemate from the bottom of the 4th inning on until a clutch 10th inning from the Guardians helped seal the game. The game started a bit weird with some questionable calls from behind the plate for both sides, and the game being run by 3 umpires due to the would-be 4th umpire falling ill.

Shane Beiber was on the mound for today's game, and he had a very solid outing, including working out of a bases-loaded no-out situation in the bottom of the 5th inning. Bieber went 6 innings giving up 7 hits, just a solo HR to former Indian Gio Uershela while striking out 7. That HR from Urshela came in the bottom of the 4th inning. Franmil Reyes started the game by hitting an RBI single on a groundball that rolled to CF and scored Owen Miller. Reyes had some cramping issues upon reaching first base but toughed it out and stayed out there. The game was uneventful from the 4th inning on, until the Guardians came alive in the 10th inning. Andres Gimenez was the first Guardian to come in the clutch as he hit an RBI double to LF that scored Ernie Clement, who was pinch-running for Franmil Reyes. But, Gimenez ran into Twin's first baseman Jose Miranda which was ruled interference, then Twins manager Rocco Baldelli got ejected arguing the call. In that same inning, Gimenez was brought in to score by Myles Straw who broke his 0-21 skid when it mattered most on an RBI single, Straw was thrown out at second trying to stretch his single to a double. Gio Urshela made it interesting in the bottom of the 10th on a single to SS bringing in Gary Sanchez to score. Emmanuel Clase kept his composure and got the save for the Guardians.

The Guardians continue the series in Minnesota tomorrow at 2:10 with Triston McKenzie taking the mound at Target Field.
