The Los Angeles Angels busted the game open in the third inning on the count of two errors, jumping out to a quick 3-0 lead. Cleveland's offense once again looked lifeless in the fourth and final game of the series, mustering up four total hits on their way to a 4-1 loss to the Angels of Anaheim.
Taylor Ward continued his offensive tear for the Angels, once again haunting the Guardians with two RBI on a single and a ground out. Reid Detmers earned his first win of the season while posting a final line of 1 earned run on 2 hits over 5 total innings.
The Guardians will look to get back into the win column as they travel to northern California to take on the Oakland Athletics. First pitch of the series is set for Friday night at 9:40 pm ET at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum in Oakland, California.
