CLEVELAND, OH -- Coming fresh off of scoring 11 runs in game 1 of the doubleheader, Cleveland looked to stay hot in the batter's box and came out swinging. Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez hit back-to-back doubles to get the Guardians on the board in the opening inning. Cleveland would later gain an insurance run from an Oscar Mercado RBI double in the 4th inning, and went on to defeat the visiting White Sox by the final score of 2-1.
Jose Ramirez continues to be at the lead of the hottest offense in Major League Baseball, totaling 5 RBI in Wednesday's doubleheader, proving why he is worth every penny. Guardians reliever Anthony Gose provided 1 12/3 innings of scoreless relief, striking out 4 batters on his way to his first career win.
The Cleveland Guardians will travel to the south side of Chicago to take on the White Sox on Thursday afternoon. First pitch is set for 1:00 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
