Indians Avoid Sweep with a 4-1 Win Over Twins

CLEVELAND, OH -- After scoring two total runs in their last 3 games, the Cleveland Indians lineup finally woke up.Franmil Reyes ended the scoring drought with a 2-run blast to deep center field. The tribe went on to launch two solo homers, coming from Oscar Mercado and Jose Ramirez. Cleveland closer Emmanuel Clase shut the door on the Twins in the 9th to lock up a 4-1 Indians win over the Twins.

Cal Quantrill was brilliant on his way to earning his 5th win of the year, tossing a career high 7 2/3 innings while giving up one run on four hits. Blake Parker and Emmanuel Clase combined for 1 1/3 innings of no hit baseball, providing relief after a spectacular start from Quantrill.

The Indians will host the Milwaukee Brewers for a three game weekend series with the first game on Friday night. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
