Williamsport, PA -- The Cleveland Indians and Los Angeles Angels squared off in the 4th Annual Little League Classic game at Muncy Bank Ballpark. Amed Rosario got the kids on their feet early on, launching a 2-run homer to left field in the home half of the 1st inning. Cal Quantrill and the Indians bullpen pitched 9 innings of shutout baseball to complete the 3-game sweep of the Angels in a 3-0 win.
The tribe continue their dominance over the Angels, who have dropped 13 of the last 14 meetings to the Indians. Cal Quantrill continues to thrive in the tribe rotation, finishing the game with a line of 0 earned runs on two hits, striking out 9 while walking 2 in 7 innings of work, moving to a 4-2 record after the win.
Cleveland will get a well deserved day off on Monday after completing a weekend sweep of the Angels, before hosting the Texas Rangers for a 3-game series First pitch on Tuesday is set for 7:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
