Minneapolis, MN--
The Tribe and Twins were at it again tonight at Target Field following a walk off win last night. The Indians sent Eli Morgan to the mound and The Twins sent Bailey Ober. Each pitcher went four shut out innings until Cleveland struck first with a two run home run by Daniel Johnson. The Indians had a very good defensive game tonight after the fielding issues they had last night. Eli Morgan went a full six shut out innings with only three total hits for his night.
The Indians went to their bullpen in the seventh inning with Brian Shaw. The Cleveland outfield was dominant all night to keep Minnesota at bay with phenomenal at the wall catches from both Bradley Zimmer and Myles Straw. The Twins loaded the bases in the bottom of the eighth. Jorge Polanco hit a grounder into a fielder's choice to score Nick Gordon and break the shut out game. The Tribe bullpen was able to hold the Twins to only one run and secure the win with a final score of 3-1. Eli Morgan was awarded the win tonight, Bailey Ober the loss and Emmanuel Clase with the save.
The Twins and Indians will meet up in the series finale tomorrow at Target Field with the first pitch at 1:10 EST with Zach Plesac on the mound for Cleveland.
