Indians Crush the Reds in Mother's Day Make Up Game

On a rainy make-up game, the Cleveland Indians crushed the Cincinnati Reds with a final score of 9-3. The Cincinnati Reds were first to get on the score board with an RBI from Joey Votto to bring Johnathan India home. The Tribe answered back with Franmil Reyes grounding out to for to bring Myles Straw home. The Indians' bats would continue to fly with a blast to right field for Wilson Ramos for a two run home run in the second inning to bring the Indians to a 3-1 lead. There was no stopping the Tribe as they brought the score to 8-1 through the fourth inning. Jose Ramirez was a huge factor in extending the lead with a triple in the third and a home run in the fourth.

The Reds broke up the rally from the Indians with a sacrifice fly out from Nick Castsellanos for a run to bring the score to 8-2. Bradley Zimmer slammed a blast to center field as the first to bat in the bottom of the seventh to continue the Indians' far lead to 9-2. The Indians' pitchers made easy work of the Reds tonight. This match up broke up the Reds' five game win streak. The Tribe wins the Ohio Cup with a final score of 9-3!

The Indians will be back tomorrow night at Progressive Field against the Oakland A's with a 7:10 first pitch.
