TORONTO, OT -- Toronto jumped out to an early lead and never looked back on Tuesday night in their match up against the visiting tribe. George Springer jumped on Cleveland starter Zach Plesac early, launching a solo shot to left center field in the first inning. Teoscar Hernandez joined the party with a 2-run blast to right field to extend the Toronto lead to three runs. The Toronto bullpen shut the door on the Indians in the late innings, securing a 7-2 win over the Indians.

The Blue Jays got a strong start from their ace Hyun Jin Ryu, who finished the game with a final line of 2 earned runs on 7 hits, striking out 8 without issuing a walk in 7 full innings of work. With today's win Ryu takes the lead in the American Lead for wins with 11 total.

Toronto and Cleveland will square off in game 3 of the 4-game series on Wednesday evening. First pitch is set for 7:07 pm ET at Rogers Centre in Tornto, Ontario.
