CHICAGO--Indians starting pitcher Eli Morgan was strong thru five innings. But Morgan pitched in the sixth inning and the Chicago Cubs took full advantage. Cubs added two more in the eighth inning after the Tribe left two on in the top of the eighth. Cubs defeat Indians 7-1 Tuesday night.
Kris Bryant of the Chicago Cubs launched his 14th homer of the season.
Then Eli Morgan ran outta gas in the sixth inning.
The Cubs added insurance runs late.
Kyle Hendricks (10-4) handed business against a scoreless Tribe lineup (during his innings). It was his eighth straight win. Eli Morgan (0-2) goes without a win but only gave up one run in the first five innings.
Indians are off Wednesday then start a four game series in Minnesota against the Twins. J.C Mejia (RHP, 1-2, 6.11) will start for Cleveland against Jose Berrios (RHP, 7-2, 3.56).
