PITTSBURGH, PA -- The tribe came into Sunday afternoon looking to avoid a 3-game sweep to the lowly Pirates, as they turned to Sam Hentges to lead the charge. Hentges gave the Indians 5 innings of scoreless baseball, giving up only two total hits. The Indians scored a go-ahead run in the 7th inning, and later closed the door on Pirates to secure a 2-1 win.
After going yard twice in Saturday's game, Harold Ramirez once again sent one out of the stadium on a solo blast to left field. Tribe corner outfielder Josh Naylor came up big in the clutch on a go-ahead RBI single to right field, scoring Eddie Rosario in the away half of the 7th inning.
The Cleveland Indians move to a record of 39-30, holding fast in the 2nd place spot of the American League Central Division. Cleveland will head to Wrigleyville to take on the Cubbies in a quick 2-game series. First pitch on Monday is set for 8:05 pm ET at Wigley Field in Chicago, Illinois.
