White Sox Take Game 1 in Extras in Cleveland, 8-6

CLEVELAND--The Cleveland Indians were able to force extras under the doubleheader seven inning format. But Adam Eaton's eighth inning home run off James Karinchak put the game out of reach as the Chicago White Sox take game one of the traditional doubleheader 8-6 in eight innings.

White Sox starter Carlo Rondon had a no-hitter against the Tribe earlier this season. Let's just say we knew that wouldn't happen again on this day early:

Indians starter Triston McKenzie struggled in the second inning, giving up four runs. But McKenzie settled in and set a new team record:

New Indians record, surpassing Corey Kluber's 2014 strikeout record.
