ANAHEIM, CA--The Cleveland Indians scored five runs in the first inning, but the Los Angeles Angels slowly worked back in the game and tied the game in the seventh inning. But Josh Naylor's go-ahead home run in the eighth inning changed everything as the Indians win Game 2 of this series and snap a four game losing streak.
The tribe got off to their best first inning start since their seven run first inning against the New York Yankees in 2019.
But the first inning wasn't flawless as Shohei Ohtani launched a rocket into the outfield.
P.S. He's the starting pitcher for the Angels Wednesday night.
Then Justin Upton connected with a three run homer in the fourth inning.
Jose Iglesias tied the game in the seventh inning against Zach Plesac as he pitched seven competitive innings.
Then in the eighth inning, Josh Naylor who had a tough April has recently come on strong for Cleveland delivered!
Indians have an opportunity to win the series Wednesday night before returning home Friday night against the Minnesota Twins. Aaron Civale (RHP, 5-1, 3.40) will start for the Tribe against Ohtani (1-0, 2.10) from the Angels.
