Tribe Falls to Yankees 6-3 to Open Four Game Series

CLEVELAND, OH -- The beginning of a four game series between the Indians and Yankees got off to an ugly start on Thursday evening. Eddie Rosario got the tribe on board with an RBI single that deflected off the glove of New York first baseman Mike Ford. During the following at-bat, Franmil Reyes grounded into a would be double play. before Domingo German bobbled and lost the ball while atempting to throw to second base, allowing Jose Ramirez to score. New York was able to get out of their first inning funk, mounting a comeback and taking down the Indians by the final score of 6-3.

Right Handed pitcher Domingo German made just his second start of the young season, and was able to battle through early game struggles. The New York hurler gave up 2 earned runs on 6 innings pitched, striking out 6 Indians while walking one. Gleyber Torres tyied the game up on a rope to center field that drove home three, with two of the runs coming from a fielding error by Cleveland's Josh Naylor.

Cleveland struggled with command on the bump, walking 9 total batters, including 4 from starter Aaron Civale. Tribe manager Terry Francona finally saw production from the middle of the order, with 3 RBI coming from batters 4 through 6.

The Cleveland Indians will look to bounce back against the feisty New York Yankees on Friday evening. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio. Check out highlights from tonight's game below!
