GOODYEAR, AZ -- Emmanuel Rivera got the Royals offense going early in the game with a 2-RBI double to center field, scoring both Jorge Soler and Michael A Taylor. Nick Heath followed up the Rivera double with an RBI single, pushing the Kansas City lead to 3 in the 2nd inning. The early lead proved to be enough insurance for Kansas City, who went on to defeat the Indians by the final score of 8-6.

Indians newcomer Eddie Rosario made his presence felt with a line drive RBI single to center field in the home half of the 3rd inning. Bobby Bradley, who finds himself in the midst of a positional battle for first base, launched an absolute moon shot to right field.

The Cleveland Indians will get the day off on Tuesday before hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks the following day. First pitch on Wednesday afternoon is set for 3:05 pm ET at Goodyear Ballpark in Goodyear, Arizona.
