CLEVELAND, OH -- The Cleveland Indians have signed free agent outfielder Eddie Rosario to a one-year deal worth $8 million. The deal is still pending a physical, as first reported by Mark Feinsand of MLB.com.
Eddie Rosario hit .257 with 13 homers and 42 RBI last year for the divisional rival Twins during 2020's shortened 60-game season.
The Cleveland Indians are hopeful that Rosario's bat will help their outfield production, who ranked among the MLB's worst last season.
The 29 year-old slugger spent his first 6 years of his career playing for the Minnesota Twins, where he posted a .277 career batting average with 119 long shots, 388 RBI and a .788 OPS.
