CLEVELAND, OH -- Milwaukee starting pitcher Corbin Burnes was nothing short of stellar on Friday night. Burns cruised through six innings giving up zero earned runs on just three hits and striking out a total of seven batters. The Brew Crew pounced on the Indians bullpen, driving in four runs in the 7th to pull away, eventually taking down the hometown tribe by the final score of 7-1.

Keston Hiura had a monster game for the visiting Brewers, driving in 3 RBI. The 24 year old second basemen launched a team leading 10th homer halfway up the left field bleachers. The Milwaukee lead was blown open on an error by Carlos Santana on a softly hit grounder that sneaked underneath his mit, scoring two runners on the play.

Carlos Carrasco had an impressive outing, working out of jams despite struggling to find his command early on in the game. The Cleveland right hander tossed 6 total innings giving up a lone earned run on 6 hits.

Cleveland and Milwaukee will square off for game two of the weekend series on Saturday evening. Aaron Civale will get the nod for the tribe as he will be matched up against Milwaukee hurler Brandon Woodruff. First pitch is set for 7:10 pm ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
