The Indians offense lead the team tonight with 10 hits and six runs scored 3 runs coming from a Jose Ramirez home run that scored Delino Deshields, and Cesar Hernandez. That give the Indians their first runs of the game and the lead in the third inning 3-2.
The Twins would score on an RBI single by Cave to tie the game 3-3 in the top of the seventh inning. But the Indians batters would take the lead in the eighth inning and not look back. A Naquin double to left would score Carlos Santana the next batter was Greg Allen. Allen would hit a SAC fly to right that would score Reyes. Giving the Indians their sixth and final run was Cesar Hernandez when he would single to right scoring Naquin making the score 6-3 and that is how the Indians would win it.
Mike Clevinger made his return to the Indians. Clevinger lasted 6 inning. At first clevinger struggled giving up a home run to Max Kepler.
It would take a few innings for Clevinger to get in the groove of things but once he did it was like he had never left. Clevinger lasted six innings giving up eight hits and two runs. Clevinger also struck out six and walked one. Phil Maton would get the win to increase his record to 2-0 on the season. Brad Hand got the save for his ninth of the season. The Indians are now 19-12 and tied with the White Sox for second in the AL Central. The Twins still lead by one game in the win column with a record od 20-12.
