CLEVELAND, OH -- Aaron Civale continues to be lights out in a tribe rotation full of All-Star caliber pitchers. The Cleveland right hander carved up the Pirates lineup, notching his first career complete game as the tribe rolled to a 6-1 victory over Pittsburgh.
After being the hero for Cleveland last night, Carlos Santana once again crushed a go-ahead 3-run home run in the 6th inning off of a pitch from Dovydas Neverauskas. Cleveland platoon outfielder Domingo Santana pulled a pitch down the third baseline in the 8th inning, scoring Jose Ramirez, Franmil Reyes, and Tyler Naquin to give the Indians some extra padding.
Aaron Civale gave the Indians bullpen a much needed day off with an outstanding performance. Civale finished the game with 9.0 innings pitched, giving up one run on five hits, striking six batters on his way to his third win of the year. Dovydas Neverauskas was hit with the loss, moving to a 0-3 record.
The tribe will take on the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday afternoon. First pitch set for 7:05 pm ET at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Check out highlights from tonight's game below!
