20th time's the Charm Indians hit Multiple Home Runs to beat the Tigers 8-4

The Indians pitching had a rough afternoon in Detroit. The starter was Adam Plutko who in 2.2 innings of work gave up three runs on six hits and struck out one. The Indians bullpen was busy, in the first six innings the Indians had five different pitchers they were Phil Maton (1.1IP,2K,0 HITS) followed by Dominic Leone (0.0IP, 2H,1ER,1BB) Oliver Perez (1.0IP,1H) Cam Hill (1.1IP,2K 1BB) James Karinchak (1.2IP 3K) and with seven pitchers in total. In to finish the game was Nick Wittgren (0.1IP 2H,1R,1BB,1K) Oliver Perez gets the win today to improve to 1-0 with and ERA of 1.29 on the season.

The Indians batters were ready and willing to hit today, Franmil Reyes set the tone for the Tribe offense when he hit a homerun in the top of the second, Reyes would exit the game after getting hit by a pitch in the top of the 9th inning. Other Indians who hit home runs today Sandy Leon, Francisco Lindor, Jose Ramirez and Franmil Reyes who would add another home run in the 7th inning. In 39 at bats the Indians had 13 hits scored eight runs, walked three times and struck out five. The Indians seem to be getting back on the right track, hopefully this game will be seen a giant step forward.

The Indians improve to 12-9 on the season while the tiger fall to 9-9 on the season. The Tribe have the day off Monday but return to action Tuesday against the Pittsburgh Pirates in Pittsburgh is what is game one of a three game series.
