MINNEAPOLIS--For the second time in four games, the Cleveland Indians suffered a shutout loss as their bats were once again ice cold (only two hits) as they fall to the Minnesota Twins 3-0 at Target Field.
Francisco Lindor and Bradley Zimmer provided the only two Indians hits as Twins starter Kenta Maeda pitched six innings with six strikeouts. Carlos Carrasco also pitched six innings but with a struggling offense, giving up three earned runs did the Tribe in tonight.
Miguel Sano had one hit entering tonight's game. Tonight, he had two solo homers off Carrasco in the third and fifth innings.
Eddie Rosario also had a solo home run in the fourth inning.
Last Wednesday, the Indians were shutout by the Chicago White Sox 4-0. Then the Indians shutout the Twins Thursday night led by Shane Bieber's 13 strikeout night. But even in that contest, the Indians only scored two runs.
Lindor talked about the Indians offensive struggles tonight.
