DETROIT--A three run first inning set the tone, Adam Plutko's (6-3) nine strikeout game in 5.2 innings was a career high. But it was a 6 run seventh inning led by a 3-run Franmil Reyes homer that made this game a rout for the Tribe as they defeat the Detroit Tigers 10-1.
Reyes who less than a month ago was traded to the Indians from the San Diego Padres had been struggling with the bat during his first three weeks with the team. But for the third consecutive game, he connected with a three-run homer.
Every Indians run in the seventh inning was done with two outs. 10 batters appeared during this time. This was done against the Tigers Bullpen as their starter Spencer Turnbull (3-13) pitched five innings, but he still took the loss.
