CLEVELAND, OH -- Jose Ramirez homered for the second time of the day in a 5-1 victory over the Texas Rangers. The tribe bullpen, who started the game, combined for a four-hitter as they never allowed the Rangers lineup to get settled in.

Tyler Clippard started the game for the hometown tribe and he was locked in, striking out 3 batters in two full innings. Newly-acquired reliever Hunter Wood followed up Clippard's two perfect innings with two more innings of shutout baseball. A.J. Cole was the third tribe reliever to enter the game, pitching 2 2/3rd innings, earning the win and moving to 3-1 on the season.

Jose Ramirez launched a two-run homer in the first game in a 2-0 victory, and connected once again in his first at-bat in the second game to help the Indians cruise to a doubleheader sweep. Ramirez continues to be the hottest bat in the Indians lineup, raising his average nearly 50 points since June.

After trailing by a large margin just two months ago, the tribe have chiseled and chipped their way back into the race for the A.L. Central lead, as they now trail the division leading Twins by two games ahead of a huge four-game series in Minneapolis. The Cleveland Indians move to 68-46 after today's victories, and the Rangers head out of Cleveland with a 58-56 record.

Shane Bieber will take the hill for the visiting Cleveland Indians inj game one of a four-game series against the Minnesota Twins. Devin Smeltzer will take the ball for the hometown Twins. First pitch is set for 8:10p ET At Target Field in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Check out highlights from today's doubleheader below!
