KANSAS CITY, MO -- After hitting a homerun in the 14th inning of yesterday's late night thriller, Jose Ramirez striked again. Ramirez launched a no-doubt three-run homer to right field in the sixth inning to pad the Indians lead to four runs. The Indians were relentless all game, scoring in five innings, driving in eight runs on thirteen hits in an 8-3 victory over the Kansas City Royals.

Zach Plesac was a warrior on the mound this evening, as he did it all for the visiting Cleveland Indians. The young right hander tossed 104 pitches, giving up zero earned runs over 7.0 innings, striking out 4 batters and walking a pair. During the bottom half of the sixth inning, Plesac chased down a foul ball and layed out to make an unbelievable diving catch in front of the first base dugout.

The tribe move to a season best 19 games over .500 and move to 61-42. After tonight's victory, the Indians have reached 62 wins faster than any Indians team since the 1999 season. The A.L. Central leading Minnesota Twins defeated the Chicago White Sox to maintain a divisional lead of two games over the tribe.

The Cleveland Indians will look to win their fourth consecutive game tomorrow afternoon as they will take on the Kansas City Royals in a Saturday evening showdown. Mike Clevinger will take the hill for the tribe, facing off against Kansas City hurler Glenn Sparkman. First pitch is set for 715 pm ET at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
