CINCINNATI, OH -- Cleveland Indians All-Star shortstop Francisco Lindor got the party started early with a leadoff blast to right field, one of two homers of the game for the young star. Shane Bieber, who was recently added to the All-Star roster, cruised through the Reds lineup, giving up 2 earned runs on 4 hits in a 7-2 victory.

In a tied game in the eighth inning, tribe catcher Roberto Perez connected on a two-run blast to opposite field to put the visiting Indians ahead. The Indians lineup remained red-hot after the Berto bomb, pouring on three insurance runs in the 9th inning to pull away from Cincinnati.

Shane Bieber proved why he should be an All-Star in 2019, as he gave one of his best performances of his young career. Bieber's lone mistake in today's game came on a Yasiel Puig two-run home run, the only hiccup in eight innings of work.

Cleveland continues to have success in the Battle of Ohio, winning 9 of their last 11 games in Cincinnati, and leading the intrastate series 62-50. The tribe have won five games in a row, marking their longest winning streak of the year, as they remain six games back of the division leading Minnesota Twins.

The Cleveland Indians will take on the Cincinnati Reds in the second game of a short two-game series on Sunday afternoon, as it will be the final game before the MLB All-Star Break. Trevor Bauer will get the nod for the visiting tribe, taking on Reds starter Tyler Mahle. First pitch is set for 1:10 pm ET on Sunday afternoon at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.
