KANSAS CITY, MO -- Tribe starter Zach Plesac looked a bit uncomfortable on the hill in the third inning, as he got approached by the team trainer, who brought out a towel for his to wipe the sweat off of his body. Following the mound visit, Plesac still seemed to be in a funk. After walking home a runner, Plesac was replaced by AJ Cole who struck out Cheslor Cuthbert to get out of a bases loaded jam. The Indians scored six runs in the seventh inning to turn the game upside down, pulling away from the Royals to secure an 8-4 victory.

Francisco Lindor, who came into tonight's game with only 4 hits in 23 plate appearances on the road trip, seemed to be completely out of the slump. While Lindor drove in 3 RBI's, his bat wasn't the only thing making a difference. The tribe shortstop made a diving stop on a hard hit grounder up the center of the field, then turned and flipped the ball out of his glove to Jason Kipnis who turned the double play successfully.

Jose Ramirez launched two home runs as he is beginning to gain more confidence as the season moves along. Today marked Ramirez' 10th multi home run game, his first since July 30, 2018. Rookie first baseman Bobby Bradley went 2-3, earning his first multi-hit game in his young career.

After completing the three-game sweep of the Kansas City Royals, the Indians move to a season-best 10 games over .500, and are now 6 games back of the division leading Twins. The tribe will travel to Cincinnati to take on the Reds in a short two-game series, before heading to the MLB All-Star Break. Game one of the series will be on Saturday afternoon, as red-hot Shane Bieber will take on Reds' starter Anthony DeSclafani. First pitch is set for 4:10 pm ET on Saturday July 6th at Great American Ballpark in Cincinnati, Ohio.
