Indians Pounce on the Tigers 8-3 to Complete Series Sweep

CLEVELAND, OH -- Bobby Bradley made his MLB debut today and he looked calm as ever, driving in a run on an RBI double in his first plate appearance. The tribe fell behind in the first inning but answered back with a five run inning in the second. Once the Indians took the lead they never looked back, cruising to an 8-3 victory to sweep the visiting Detroit Tigers.

Indians' prospect Bobby Bradley was leading the International League with 24 home runs before being called up to the big leagues before today's day game versus the Tigers. Bradley went 1 for 3 with a walk and one RBI. The promising youngster made a running over-the-shoulder catch in foul territory as Progressive Field erupted with cheers.

Zach Plesac earned his third win of the season after throwing seven full innings giving up just one earned run on five hits, striking out two batters and walking one. Plesac gave up his lone run on a leadoff homer off of the bat of Jacoby Jones to start the game.Nick Goody, Tyler Olson, and Adam Cimber combined for two full innings of relief, allowing three total hits. The tribe bullpen has the best ERA in the majors at 3.17 .

After a victory over the igers and a Twins loss to the Royals, the Indians move to 8.0 games back of the division leading Twins. The tribe will begin a three-game home series against the Kansas City Royals. Cleveland will give the ball to Adam Plutko to kickstart the divisional series, as he will be squaring off against Royals' starter Brad Keller. First pitch is set for 7:10 PM ET at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
