CHICAGO, IL -- Zach Plesac gave a brilliant effort in just his second MLB start of his young career, pitching a full 7 innings, giving up one earned run on four hits, striking out seven batters and walking one. Plesac made one mistake his entire start, and Chicago's Tim Anderson made him pay, blasting a solo homer to center field. Anderson came through in the clutch again in the 8th inning, driving in Yolmer Sanchez on a gapper to deep left field. Tim Anderson, who came into today with the 3rd best batting average in the majors, was the main culprit for the ChiSox 2-0 victory.

White Sox ace Lucas Giolito pitched an absolute gem of a game, and the Indians could not figure him out. Giolito pitched 7 1/3 innings, giving up five hits and zero runs, striking out nine Indians. Aaron Bummer came in to relieve the starter, and gave up zero hits and recorded two outs. Sox closer Alex Colome shut the door on the tribe in the ninth, as he is now 12 for 12 in save opportunities this season.

The Cleveland Indians will get the day off on Monday,a dn will head home to take on the visiting Minnesota Twins in what will be an important three-game series. Shane Bieber will get the start for the tribe on Tuesday afternoon, and the Twins will give the nod to Devin Smeltzer. First pitch is set for 7:10 PM ET at beautiful Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio.
